Ledger data and iCloud
Amounts, dates, categories, notes, line items, fixed expenses, member names and photos are stored on your device and synced using Apple CloudKit when signed into iCloud. Shared ledgers are shared with the invited partner. There is no developer-operated server receiving ledger data. Apple Account-related identifiers help identify the correct sync account and prevent data mixing.
Camera, photos and on-device processing
The camera and selected photos are used for receipt recognition or member photos. OCR and optional AI analysis run on-device without sending receipts to an external AI service. Receipt images are not stored or synced as ledger records. Member photos are synced with the ledger.
Advertising and tracking
The free version uses Google AdMob. Google’s SDK may process IP addresses, approximate location, device/app identifiers, ad impressions and interactions, crash reports and performance information for advertising, measurement, fraud prevention and diagnostics. Ledger amounts, notes, line items and images are not included in ad requests. Pro ledgers do not display ads.
Your choices
When you allow tracking, identifiers may be combined with data from other companies’ apps or websites for advertising and measurement. You can decline and still use the app; non-personalized ads are then requested, though data needed for ad delivery may still be processed. Change tracking permission in device Settings. Advertising privacy options are shown in the app when required for your region.
Purchases, usage and notifications
Apple StoreKit processes purchases and restores. The app checks verified entitlements and syncs the owner’s Pro status. The developer does not receive payment details. Receipt usage counts are stored on-device. Partner-entry notifications are optional and do not include amounts or notes.
Managing and deleting data
Edit or delete records in the app. Owners manage sharing. Leaving a shared ledger does not delete the owner’s data; deleting the app alone does not delete iCloud data. Local backups may be created when joining a ledger or changing accounts. There is currently no in-app backup restoration screen. CSV/JSON exports are sent to the destination you choose.
This website, support and updates
This website separately uses Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights. If Google Analytics is configured, browsing information may be sent to Google. Hosting providers may process access information. Support emails and their contents are used to respond and provide assistance and retained as needed for that purpose. Changes to this policy will be posted here with an updated date.
